Lovely Land Park

Lovely Land Park in the heart of Sacramento.

I am feeling inspired today and decided to share this shoot my Husband did of me in one of  Sactown’s most Beautiful Parks, William Land Park.

If you have not been or you are planning on visiting Sacramento- William Land Park is a must-see & a great place for a picnic. The vast variety of large matured trees allow for a pleasant visit- even on the hottest of days. This park is quite large & it has a lot to offer, all of which are nestled right in Land Park. If you bring the kids there is Fairy Tale Town & the Sacramento Zoo. If you want a day of leisure, there is a Golf Course. If your looking for a workout, there are provided outdoor stations. If you are planning on having a picnic, I suggest stopping at the nearby neighborhood Old-Style Butcher Shop & Deli, Taylor’s Market, to pick up some good grub. This speciality market is full of charm & takes pride in sticking to the roots of what a true “butcher shop” is. There Deli-style/ Butcher counter is a carnivore’s wettest dream. Deep Red, well-marbled large cuts of meat are show cased like art. Neat less to say, They have all the picnic essentials whether you want to BBQ or just a quick grab & go sandwich. Either way, Taylor’s market is a must-see of it’s own.

If you are interested in my attire than you are in luck, because I am going to break it down for ya’ll (wink)!

Skinny Jeans: Well, I took a leap of faith & purchased some Whiter than White Articles of Society Skinny Jeans. If you know me, you know that I ruin shit like this. So thank goodness for BLEACH & Borax. I love the fit, they are comfortable & do not cause the muffin top effect; they are pretty forgiving. I picked these up from Nordstrom BP section.

Obey Top & Blazer: One of my top-fav shirts because its lite & comfortable. Adds a little color to my drab Black & White Wardrobe too. I picked this up on sale at Zumiez a while back. The Blazer, I love because it is a very lite material & great for those days when there is a lot of sun out, but a subtle chilly breeze. I picked this one up at Forever 21 for a great price.

Boots: I usually do not shop at Steve Madden (directly), but I happened to mosie in one day, and to my surprise, picked up these gems for $40 bucks ( all said in done after sale & coupon)!

Accessories & Jewelry: If you have not made accessories a part of your life, I suggest you do. They really tie anything (even if it doesn’t match) together. I picked up my awesome genuine leather belt from the Sacramento Antique Fair for a steal-of-a-deal price. I love the oxidized brass golden hue. My bracelet, I picked up for cheap at Forever 21.

Everyone loves to look Polished & put together. But, lets be honest, there are those times when time is in a crunch or we are just being flat out lazy, With those exceptions in mind, I have a few secret weapons that give off impression I didn’t just wake up. First off,  I use a high quality nail polish / lacquer when I paint my nails. Nothing is more annoying than taking the time to paint a picture perfect nail for it to chip a day later. I say, spend a little extra money & it will re-pay you with long lasting results. Some brands I love include: Butter, China Glaze (dries fast too!) & any Gel polish cured with a light. Second, I love Lip Stain! It looks natural & actually stays on under my Chapstick. Third, Throw on some Jewelry. It ties whatever concoction of an outfit you decided to put on that day together. Fourth, Along with fresh breath, put some perfume on. I love Sweet Florally Scents like Daisy by Marc Jacobs & Poppy by Coach & usually anything by Escada. And last, but not least, I love to use a Face Illuminator. It gives you that quick natural Glow that adds a pick-me-up even if you really are tired. Luv these tips?
